Happy Birthday to us! April 4th marked 5 years of trading for The Agency and we’re delighted to be entering an exciting phase for the business. So what’s new?
A BLU CHRISTMAS
We are delighted to have been selected to produce the Christmas marketing material for the UK wide Radisson Blu properties. OK, it’s only April, but time does fly and corporates like to book in their parties early so those who leave it late risk missing the boat. Each hotel is producing a printed brochure with options for pull-up banners, posters and e-brochures.

Director of Sales, Jane Cawardine-Wheeler, commented:
We approached The Agency to help us produce the marketing material across the group. They have certainly made my life easier as they were able to interpret the brand standards straight away and came up with some great design ideas to boot. I’m happy that each hotel will now have the tools to start promoting a really effective Christmas campaign.
If you’re in the hospitality sector have you considered your marketing activity yet?
REACTIVE MEDIA
Warrington-based Reactive Audio enlisted our help in rebranding as Reactive Media, thus reflecting their evolving product mix and skill base.

Director, Paul Smith, commented:
Our company Reactive Audio recently needed to re-brand as Reactive Media to reflect our new product offerings. I approached The Agency to come up with some new ideas for our corporate identity. Following our initial consultation and brief, they came back with some really contemporary and exciting designs. In fact, we found it difficult to choose from the final 3 designs presented. All demonstrated high creative values and presented just the right modern image that we are trying to achieve.
We now have all our new designs and stationery and everything was arranged through Nick at The Agency. We’re delighted with our new brand identity and the service we received: a very creative company with brilliant customer service and offering very good value for money. Well done The Agency!

TIPS FOR SUCCESS: LOGO DESIGN
We think there are some key ingredients that go into the mix when creating a logo. Here are the marks of a great marque:
- A logo doesn’t need to show what you do. It doesn’t have to be literal but it does need be relevant.
- Not every logo needs an identifying mark or symbol – this might just prove restrictive especially if there is possibility of moving into different markets.
- Leave the viewer with one thing to remember about your logo (not several).
- Avoid Photoshop….Enough said.
- Does your logo pass the size test? Logos are scaled up and down and at their smallest should not lose definition.
- Consider Trade Marking. It can be a pain but could save legal problems further down the line.
