Here at The Agency Creative, our team are always looking out for new trends and inspiration. We have noticed that 2020 has left a lot of room for creative design ideas. We have decided to document some of our favourite trends this year so far.
Electric colour schemes
This year we continue to see cyberpunk colour palettes within many types of design. Posters are incredibly popular for this style and we are loving it. We feel like this is the right way to design at the minute, especially with the current situation. The futuristic elements really make us excited to look forward and experience new things.

Typography
Yes, typography has been trending for decades however, we feel like this year creatives have been obsessed with text as a focal point of their design. In order to keep things interesting and modern, designers have pushed the boundaries of design and explored some exciting trends with type. Our favourite thing about this trend is the hand-lettering style that adds personality to design work.

Monochrome
2020 has seen a rise in the use of monochrome, especially within web design. We love to see how design trends can return and evolve. We feel that the monochromatic effect is an improvement on the previous duotone style.

Modern – Vintage
Although ‘vintage’ isn’t a new trend, when it’s combined with modernism it creates something quite satisfying. We feel that both styles have a lot to offer and its interesting to see how different creative individuals use them within their work.

Patterns & Textures
Patterns and textures are a current trend due to the fact that they can enhance brand styles and design work. They can also create an exciting design style for packaging, household items, and keepsakes. We feel that this is one of the best ways to bring some excitement into 2020.
