We’re all having to adapt to this new way of life and brands are playing a big role in promoting the importance of social distancing and staying at home. Some of the biggest brands in the world have reinvented their logos to help fight the Coronavirus pandemic.
Can you think of a logo more recognisable than the big M? Mcdonald’s have separated their iconic Golden Arches to encourage social distancing.
Everyone knows Audi’s four rings and this subtle separation has a strong message: Keep apart in order to keep safe. Volkswagen have taken a similar approach with a subtle change in their logo. It is still easily recognisable and also thanks everyone for social distancing, giving a personable touch.
What better way for Coca-Cola to spread the word about social distancing than having their message portrayed in Times Square? Again, they have separated their logo but also provide a motivational message “staying apart is the best way to stay united”. This is something that has definitely grabbed a lot of peoples attention.
The Kappa logo. The logo that represents equality between men and women has been temporarily altered to portray social distancing. It is ironic really that this logo is all about bringing people together yet during this pandemic, we want people to stay apart. By staying apart we can hopefully combat this virus and get back to normal.
The Time Out logo, or in this case the “Time In” logo. Usually this brand is raving about all of the fun things you can do out and about in London, but by temporarily changing their logo to say “Time In”, it truly shows the importance of social distancing.
SPREAD HAPPINESS
A lot of brands have had to adapt to this whole change and now more than ever, social media is very important! Through their social channels, brands are focusing on bringing communities together by making sure they have a strong online presence, are posting positive messages, photos or videos and reminding people that we are all in this together.
Below are some of the brands spreading positivity and motivation:
Barry M, Benefit, Gym Shark, Nike, Nandos, Asos
