Founded in 2005 by Manchester businessman Phil Goodwin, Kibera Kids is devoted to helping educate the children of the Kibera slum in Nairobi, Kenya. We’ve been working alongside Louise and the other trustees at this fabulous charity to develop a new logo and responsive website.
Being one of the biggest slums in Africa the social problems are huge, and basic survival is often a challenge. Kibera Kids raises money to give children the opportunity to lift themselves to new heights through learning and development, as well as encouring them have a positive impact on their community.
The website branding reflects this positivity with uplifting imagery and bright colours. The logo handprints and friendly logo font relate to children, fun and learning.
This handprints used on the logo and throughout the website features promptly on one of the charity funded buildings in Kibera. The ‘learning for life’ strap-line reinforces the charity’s core message.
Visit their website www.kiberakids.org to find out more about this great cause, or visit their Facebook and twitter pages for new updates. We’ve made it easy to donate and you can learn about how your money will be spent.
Any support is greatly appreciated by all at the charity and the kids themselves.
