Cottonopolis was the name given to Manchester during the industrial revolution. In 2017, it’s a modern bar and restaurant located in the heart of Manchester’s famous Northern Quarter. Situated in a former cotton warehouse, it is inspired by its industrial past and laid-back present. Mixing craft ales, cocktails and Japanese cuisine, Cottonopolis combines the best of Manchester and Japan all into a trendy, all-in-one bar and restaurant. Our marketing embeds the heritage of both cultures into one.
Cottonopolis have a striking website that is developed from their branding. We created this interactive, mobile responsive holding page whilst we develop a more in-depth website. The holding page prominently features the bee branding which is a symbol of Manchester and has features such as an online booking system and links to download their various menus.
The business cards are designed using their striking copper colour and are produced on an uncoated black board. The bee logo appears in black foil on the face with copper text on the reverse, giving the logo a subtle and distinctive finish which works well with the metallic qualities of the copper foiled text.
Carrying over the same embossed design. We designed various forms of menu including Drinks menus, food menus and custom stitched cocktail menus. The menus are stitched with copper thread using a singer sewing machine.
