Lucha Libre

An alluring take on Mexican cuisine, Lucha Libre is a Mexican Street Food concept that has taken the North West restaurant scene by storm. We acted as brand consultants to create a variety of logos, menu layouts and visuals to help convey the soul of this captivating brand.
The Liverpool public can now savour mouth-watering food that is akin to that served in the dusty open air markets of Guadalajara – all served in cool and cosy Lucha surroundings.
Developing the Brand
The Lucha Libre branding draws inspiration and meaning from ‘free wrestling’.
Our brief was to create an identity that reflected the authenticity, flavours and colour of Mexican street food and that steered well clear of the more obvious connotations. The branding makes use of the national colours and the distressed textures gives it an earthy and truly Mexican feel.
Nightfall
Nightfall brings an unmistakable shift in ambience. Liverpool opens its doors to the underground hideout of Maya, complete with Neon crosses and jail cell booths.
The night-time brands of Maya is visualised with the intensity and radiance of Neon against black. The theme is developed further with the distinctive cocktail menus that were created using the intriguing Mexican Loteria Card imagery – a prominent feature of Mexican culture.
